Interview #6: La Botte Chantilly
La Botte Chantilly is one of the historic resellers of Berthe aux Grands Pieds creations. So, when the opportunity to interview them presented itself, I didn't hesitate for a minute!
The desire to know more about the history of the Lille shoemaker was too strong :)

Berthe: La Botte Chantilly has existed since 1890, what is your story? Who is behind this famous boot?
La Botte: The adventure actually began in 1890 with a shop run by the Delecaux-Lefebvre family . The family made custom-made boots for cavalry officers stationed in Lille. These boots, known as “Chantilly” , gave their name to the famous brand.
When the Roos family took over the reins of the shoemaking and bootmaking business, they then developed the brand's strategy to make it a luxury "ready-to-shoe" brand . Today, La Botte Chantilly is still run by the heiress Marianne Ross Deparis.
Berthe: What brands can we find at La Botte Chantilly? How do you select them? Do you have a guiding principle?
La Botte: La Botte Chantilly is a trendsetter. It composes its selection of products around two axes: technical products implementing specific know-how of excellence - Goodyear-welted shoes - and exclusive fashion products of European and French manufacture.
At La Botte Chantilly, you will find many brands of shoes and socks made in France , such as Berthe aux Grands Pieds , Arche, Rondinaud and Paraboot.

Berthe: On your website, you have set up Click & Collect, can you tell us a little more about this new service?
La Botte: In order to offer an ever more pleasant and easily accessible shopping experience , La Botte Chantilly also set up a Click & Collect service in 2014.
From home on la-botte.com, or on the touch terminals installed in the stores, you can permanently discover all of the collections and reserve the selected products before coming to try them on in store .
