Silk is a fantastic material with incomparable comfort: known as a "thermo-regulating" material, these silk socks are cool and light in summer and warm when worn in winter.
Fully vanised with Lycra, they are supple, and the knit is full and smooth. They are specifically knitted with a non-constricting ribbed cuff and will fit your legs. You can wear this timeless model in all circumstances, whatever the season.
The result of centuries of craftsmanship, these Berthe Aux Grands Pieds black silk knee-high socks are hand-linked: their closure is thus seamless. The addition of an extra reinforcing thread at the carmine red heels and toes considerably increases their strength and lifespan.
As the silk used is extremely fine and sensitive to friction, the heel tops are reinforced to prevent any contact of the silk with the shoe counter. These knee-high socks are knitted with progressive compression, so the knit is perfectly adjusted between the calf and the ankle.
