Old pink ribbed silk short socks

These short powder pink ribbed socks are made of very high quality silk of controlled origin. They are specifically knitted with a non-compressing ribbed edge to fit your legs in all circumstances. The overlock of the ribbed edge accentuates this very delicate and feminine side. Silk is a so-called air-conditioning material: the socks are cool and light in summer and warm in winter. They are flexible, soft with a velvety touch and particularly comfortable. Hand-knitted without seams, this finish is particularly neat and appreciated. As the silk used is particularly sensitive to friction, the heel and the toe are reinforced with an additional thread of Scottish thread, thus obtaining a solid product and considerably increasing its longevity. Inscription Soie at the end of the foot and Berthe Aux Grands Pieds under the foot, knitted directly during the making of the sock. This model of short silk socks is made exclusively in France by the Manufacture Perrin 1924 in Montceau-les-Mines (71).
